I have a degree in Geography with Geology, Maths and Physics, a Diploma in Cartography and an HNC in Computing and am a Member of the Society for Editors and Proofreaders.

Since 1998 I have taken courses on Web editing and proofreading, Efficient copy-editing and Onscreen editing run by the Society for Editors and Proofreaders, and gained distinction in the Basic proofreading by distance learning course from the Publishing Training Centre.
